A simple black turtleneck bodysuit is my new favorite article of clothing I own.

This basic outfit centerpiece is anything but basic and is the perfect garment for any lazy lady who’s still trying to look like she has it somewhat together. I know that sounds like a big ask from a piece of clothing but I’m not exaggerating. I can be in sweats all day with hair gone wild and I put this thing on with pretty much anything else in my closet and I feel instantly chic and ready to venture out into the world outside my baby bubble. I’m calling it a “Spring Trend” because I intend to wear it tirelessly throughout the coming season but really, it’s perfectly appropriate and timeless for 3/4 of the year, year after year after year so do yourself a favor and invest in this baby for your Spring lineup!

OUTFIT 1: Anytime Casual Chic

For my first look, I kept it super simple with a pair of distressed, high-waisted, not-too-relaxed boyfriend/mom jeans. I LOVE this fit for this style of jeans because it’s super flattering but still gives off that effortless look that I want from a pair of ripped boyfriend/mom jeans. I accentuated my waist with a beautiful western belt and finished it off with a chic pair of black boots that have enough of a heel to elongate my legs and give me a bit of a strut but not so much of a heel that I’d be wobbling and unconfident whilst holding a baby. #momlife is all about balance!

OUTFIT 2: Daytime Cute

This kind of outfit is perfect for meetings or lunch with friends. I’m a sucker for print on print but you can keep the top or bottom more simple if it’s too busy for your taste. A super lightweight blazer or kimono is always a fun way to add instant style to a basic piece like this turtleneck. Since I’m layering and covered up top, I opted for shorts on bottom to show off a little skin. Stuck with the same boots because they literally go with everything!

OUTFIT 3: Girl On The Town

This could be my favorite turtleneck look because while layering under dresses is definitely on trend, it still feels unexpected and therefore, super stylish. I love a turtleneck under a slip dress like this leopard print one because it’s a style juxtaposition that works so effortlessly together. I added a grommeted, chunky belt to accentuate my waist and add another little flash of style but again, kept the same boots because again, they go with everything!
