ONE STOP SHOP FOR ALL MY BABY NEEDS

Reading:

This post is sponsored by Walmart. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

If you are a Walmart lover like me then you already know what’s up. They. Have. Everything. I did a 5-Minute Beauty Routine post not too long ago about how my favorite superstore covers all of this mama’s beauty needs. Well, while you’re treating yourself, you can also buy literally EVERYTHING you need to cover all of baby’s needs from Walmart too. It’s a simple concept but a genius one, nonetheless! As moms, we don’t have time to hit up five different stores to get all of the supplies we need for our family’s day-to-day life. Heck, we don’t even have time to visit five different websites to do our shopping from home! Cue, the one stop shop we all know and should all love as much as I do… Walmart!

Bowie’s been eating solids for about six months now, which is crazy! Time flies! It’s also crazy because every single mealtime brings hilarious chaos and a big ol’ mess… accompanied by a pretty darn cute photo op. Gotta love baby cheeks covered in food! To keep things as easy to clean as possible, I use the 4moms high chair with magnetic tray. This thing is sturdy, easily adjustable and SO easy to wipe down. The magnetic tray is the easiest thing to remove in one second and it has another super light clip on attachment that snaps right off for a quick wash without having to wash the whole kit and caboodle every time. I also rely heavily on suction plates and bowls to keep things somewhat controlled during meals. This Silicone Grip Dish and Disney Baby Suction Bowl & Spoon from Bumkins are lifesavers! The Tommee Tippee Easi-Roll Silicone Baby Bibs are another must-have because they easily wipe clean and catch a lot of what would otherwise get smeared all over her legs and the high chair. Lastly, Bowie loves her Munchkin Miracle 360 Spoutless Trainer Cup. It’s getting her one step closer to big girl status!

Walmart has absolutely everything you could possibly need for your changing table and then some! There are so many amazing products to choose from but after months of trying out all kinds of brands and items, I’ve got my faves for everyday on lock! I love the Burt’s Bees Baby Classic Stripe Organic Crib Sheet so much that I just bought multiples of the same one but they do come in a variety of solid colors and prints. No changing pad is complete without Munchkin Waterproof Changing Pad Liners… seriously. They have saved the day and my changing pad so many times! My girl is a Huggies Little Snugglers baby. Has been since day one. We’ve tried every diaper under the sun and these are the best for keeping her diaper rash and blowouts at bay. As for wipes, the best on the market that I’ve tried are Water Wipes. They’re 99.9% water so they get the job done without irritating your baby’s skin at all. I use these for her tush, hands, face, you name it! We keep packs of these all over the house so I buy them in bulk. I use Aquaphor Baby Advanced Therapy Healing Ointment at every diaper change because it provides a great barrier while also nourishing my baby’s skin and does wonders for preventing diaper rash. After bathtime, I always apply Burt’s Bees Baby 100% Natural Dusting Powder or Johnson’s Baby Powder with Aloe & Vitamin E and Aveeno Baby Calming Comfort Moisturizing Non-Greasy Lotion to get my baby smelling and feeling good before I send her off to sleep! It probably goes without saying but it’s also necessary to have a big ol’ vat of Purell on hand for the ones doing the changing!

I stopped breastfeeding when Bowie was six months old and the two machines pictured above made that process so much easier for this mama! Whipping out your boob whenever baby is hungry is a whole lot quicker and easier than measuring out formula, warming bottles, cleaning and sterilizing bottles, waiting for them to air dry, etc. That is, unless you have the Baby Brezza Formula Pro Advanced Formula Dispenser and the Baby Brezza Electric Baby Bottle Sterilizer and Dryer on hand! The formula dispenser is like a baby coffee machine. You select the amount of ounces and temperature and within seconds your baby’s bottle is full, warm and ready to go! The sterilizer is also a game changer because it’s also a dryer! No more waiting FOREVER for your bottles to air dry and you can have peace of mind knowing your baby’s bottles are clean and safe to use! We use Enfamil Gentlease NeuroPro Baby Formula because Bowie had a lot of tummy troubles when she was really little so I wanted the best option for being easy on the stomach when I transitioned to formula. We’ve also always used Dr. Brown’s Options bottles because they help to reduce gas/colic and are great for transitioning from breast to bottle and back again, if you’re pumping!

Bowie is an active baby who loves to play so we are always stocking up on new toys that can keep her stimulated and help further her development. My husband’s a musician and this kid has loved music since she was in the womb. One of her favorite toys since she was teeny tiny was the Baby Einstein Discover & Play Piano. Now that she’s older, she’s recently graduated to her Schoenhut 25-Key My First Piano II but she still loves them both. Her first stuffed animal that she really took to and always made her eyes light up was the Fisher Price Laugh and Learn Smart Stages Puppy so when she started obsessing over grabbing our remotes from the coffee table, I got her her very own remote with a familiar friendly voice, the Fisher Price Laugh and Learn Puppy’s Remote. Bowie is at the age where she is pulling herself up on everything and I know walking is just around the corner so to encourage her, we got her the FISHER PRICE 3-IN-1 Sit, Stride & Ride Interactive Lion. She hasn’t figured out how to use it as a walker just yet but in the meantime, she loves hearing him sing, pushing his colorful buttons and getting wild rides around the house from Daddy! Last but most certainly not least, there is only one toy Bowie starts excitedly waving her hands to every morning when she crawls into her playroom. I genuinely think this guy may be her first true love… Playskool Friends Tickle Me Elmo.

I think my daughter may be filthy to this day if it weren’t for the Fisher Price 4-in-1 Convertible Baby Bath Tub. When we first brought her home, I was TERRIFIED to bathe her. She hated it. I hated it. It was a bit of a horror show for everyone involved. Then I discovered this tub and the Stage 1 sling seat that it comes with was able to keep baby girl supported and safely above water but submerged enough that she was nice and warm. She’s going to outgrow it pretty soon but for now, it’s still saving us time and water by not having to fill up the entire tub for her baths. Bowie loves her Disney The Little Mermaid Bath Toys because they’re colorful, squirt out water and make pretty good chew toys… because ya know, everything must go in the mouth. Between baths, I store them in my Munchkin High’n Dry Bath Organizer, which is awesome because it allows her toys to drain and air dry and suctions onto the wall so it doesn’t take up any space. I use Aquaphor Baby Wash & Shampoo because it’s great on her sensitive skin. The Munchkin Shampoo Rinser is an awesome find for minimizing soapy water from getting in her eyes when I’m rinsing shampoo out of her hair. And yes, I am that mom who is a total sucker for an animal face hooded towel. I can’t help it. The Hudson Baby Woven Terry Animal Hooded Towels are too freaking cute!

In addition to shopping all of the clickable links above for the tried and tested-by-yours-truly products mentioned throughout this post, it’s also worth a mention that Walmart will be supporting National Breastfeeding Awareness Month with deals on breastfeeding items (i.e. covers, nipple creams, etc.) as well as bottle feeding items (i.e.. breast pumps, bottles, etc) so head to Walmart.com or visit your local store to stock up before the month is up!

On the subject of feeding, if you ever find yourself questioning what and how much you should be feeding your baby throughout the first year of their life, I put together a really easy-to-follow and comprehensive Feeding Guide for Baby that you will receive as a free PDF download if you sign up here! Whether you’re breastfeeding, bottle feeding or transitioning to solid, this guide has all the info you need! Hope this helps! xo

Since Bowie was born I've been more motivated than ever to show up as the best version of me and also share the experiences of those who have a new perspective to share that could make us all better people. So with that, here's a space for you to learn, explore, and sit beside me as I navigate this world through this new lens.

Content Creator. Mama to Bowie. Wife to Josh. Straight Talker. DIY'er. You may also know me from my roles in 90210 and Degrassi.

Motherhood does a great job at putting a mirror up to you in the form of a child and because of that I've found myself gravitating toward spaces where I can learn and evolve as a person.
