I posted a video sharing a bit about mine and Bowie’s experience with “colic“ from Week 2-Week 6 of her life and what remedied her tummy troubles and saved my sanity in the process. Colic is tough on baby and on parents so while this may not be the colic cure for every baby, it was for mine and I wanted to share in hopes of sparing other new parents and newborns the same struggle we had!
My Allergen-Free Breastfeeding Diet
NO gluten
NO dairy
NO soy
NO nuts
NO eggs
NO acidic fruit and veg, including broccoli, cauliflower, brussel sprouts, citrus fruits including tomato (I do eat tomato as it didn’t bother Bowie but be cautious when initially trying it)
NO foods that make your milk taste funny. If a food alters the smell of your urine, it likely alters the taste of your milk… I had a bad experience with Bowie after eating asparagus so I’ve stayed away from it ever since!
NO caffeine
NO chocolate
NO chili
What I Eat In A Day While Breastfeeding

or
Green smoothie (2 servings)
-
1 banana
-
1-2 handfuls of frozen berries
-
1-2 cups frozen or fresh spinach
-
1 heaping spoonful of cashew butter (skip this step if you are first starting, only reintroduce when your baby’s system is clear and see how they react)
-
2 scoops Milka Lactation powder
-
2 scoops Vega Vanilla Protein & Greens
-
Half-fill blender with coconut milk and half-fill with water

Dinner
Turkey mince sauteed with 1 red pepper, 1 yellow pepper, mushrooms, spinach, pure tomato sauce (be careful as tomato is acidic and may upset baby), parsley, basil and a hint of garlic.
