I’m feeling blue this summer and not the sad kind. I’m all sorts of giddy about my recent deep dive into blue eyeshadow! I’ve been seeing this summer makeup trend pop up all over the place and though I was skeptical about whether or not I could pull something like this off, I had to try it and am so glad I did! Blue eyeshadow sounds like something out of an 80s horror flick but like every other ghost of on-trend’s past, it is back and better than ever. Sleek metallic hues, ombre effects, rich tones… there’s a lot to play with and it is nothing to turn your nose up at until you’ve tried it. I recently received a gift package from Urban Decay that I unboxed in my epic PR haul video on my YouTube Channel (which you can watch here!) and in it were these gorgeous velvety shades of blue. It takes less than 5 minutes to create a summer makeup look that packs a punch but is also surprisingly super wearable!

The key to pulling off this makeup look is using very neutral shades on the rest of your face and body. I kept a neutral cheek and lip to make sure my eyes were the only feature taking center stage. I also ran the nude theme into my outfit with a camel tee and nude espadrilles and some black overall shorts…or as I affectionately call them, my pregnant-lady uniform. 😉 I’ve also included some shoppable links to similar clothing items below, in case you dig my look from head-to-toe!
