WHAT’S IN MY BAG?!

Reading:

This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of Carefree®.

You guys are always intrigued by what products I use so I thought it’d be fun to do a “what’s in my bag” post to share my day-to-day survival kit for my life on-the-go!  I always refer to my purse as a black hole because I like to jam pack as many items as possible.  I wasn’t a boy scout but I do live by the mantra “always be prepared”!  As you can imagine, a small clutch isn’t my style because it just isn’t functional for my daily needs.  The bigger the bag, the better because you never know where the day may take you, right?  In LA, traffic is constant and the city layout is widespread so getting home to grab something in between your daily tasks is typically just not feasible.  This means you have to leave the house in the morning with any and everything you may need throughout the entire day and into the evening!  Pockets and compartments are a girl like me’s best friend when it comes to choosing a bag so when briefcase-style totes became a “thing” I was a happy camper!  (Figuratively… I was never a scout or a camper.)

What’s In My Bag?

1.  Essentials – Wallet, Phone, Keys
This is pretty self-explanatory but a tip to making sure you never misplace these can’t-live-without items, designate them to a certain pocket or compartment so you develop a habit and know exactly where to check for them before you leave the house for an outing.

2.  Makeup Must-Haves
I always have a small handful of makeup must-haves with me when I’m out and about because you never know when you’ll need a quick touchup or transition from day to evening!  A loose or pressed powder, brush or sponge, liquid liner, lip balm, a cheek/lip tint and eyelash curler are the items that can give your beauty look an overhaul at any given moment!

3.  Carefree® Acti-Fresh® Liners
Carefree® Acti-Fresh® Liners are definitely a daily essential during a particular time of month but they’re one worth mentioning because they’re perfect for my life on-the-go.  I often head out for the day and go from the gym straight to meetings and on to dinner before I come home. Carefree® Acti-Fresh® Liners are 2x more absorbent, soft and thinner than the average liner, allowing me to be free of discomfort on every step of my daily journey.  You can’t even feel them!  Download your coupon for $2 off any 2 Carefree® products and $.50 off any 1 Carefree® product (expires 6/24/17) here and head to your local Walmart to pick some up! #linerup

4.  Transitional Accessories
I always have a couple cute accessories that can jazz up my outfit when need be for a meeting, audition or dinner/drinks with friends!  A watch, rings and/or bracelets can help to bring any outfit from day to night.  I also love to keep a good hair accessory on hand like a headbandor clip-in bow!

5.  Glasses
Glasses are an essential for an old lady like me.  Once evening hits, my eyes can use a little help when getting from A to B safely on the road.  Sunglasses are also a great handbag must-have for shielding your eyes from sun, giving you an instant dose of “cool” and makeup-free moments!

6.  Notebook and Pen/Pencil
I love to have a notebook on hand at all times for little thoughts and ideas that may pop into my head throughout the day.  I also find writing about my feelings to be very therapeutic, so whether it’s for journaling inspirations or fears, a notebook is always a great thing to have!

7.  Polaroid Camera
It sounds cheesy but there really is no better photo than a Polaroid picture.  I love to capture moments in an instant with this old classic camera, and I have a huge collection of memories from the past decade thanks to making this a habit a long time ago!

Since Bowie was born I've been more motivated than ever to show up as the best version of me and also share the experiences of those who have a new perspective to share that could make us all better people. So with that, here's a space for you to learn, explore, and sit beside me as I navigate this world through this new lens.

Content Creator. Mama to Bowie. Wife to Josh. Straight Talker. DIY'er. You may also know me from my roles in 90210 and Degrassi.

Motherhood does a great job at putting a mirror up to you in the form of a child and because of that I've found myself gravitating toward spaces where I can learn and evolve as a person.
